Class Registration (begins March 1, 2010, 9:00 a.m.)

(Please be sure to read all of the following information!)

1. Please print or type clearly and firmly. Payment must accompany registration form and may be made by check/VISA/Mastercard. (All monies must be in US funds.) Make checks payable to "Northwest Toleliners Regional Convention." Registration fee is $89.00 ($119.00 after July 1, 2010.) No telephone registrations. We are accepting fax registrations for Visa and Master Card credit card payments only. Fax to (360) 895-6008. Please, no sooner than 9:00 a.m on March 1. When mailing your registration form, keep one copy for your records; send the remaining copy and payment to:

2010 Registration Form

2. There is no admission to any class without a registration badge and class ticket.

3. Your registration fee includes one "Dreamers Delight" dinner ticket. Selections are as follows:

(A) Salmon (B) Chicken, or (C) Vegetarian. Effective Thursday, September 23 at 7 a.m., extra meal tickets may be purchased in Class Sales, on an availability basis only. The cost is $35.00. Teachers, vendors and guests are all welcome to purchase tickets. See page 4 for menu selections.

4. Class fees and teacher surface fees MUST be included with your registration payment.

5. Please list your classes in order of preference.

    List class number, teacher, title, day/time, and fee.

4-hour class — $15.00          6-hour class — $20.00

You may sign up for an unlimited number of classes, however, you cannot be pre-enrolled in more classes than you have sent fees for. This means you should send the fees for as many classes as you are able to attend. Classes will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. (No post-dated checks please.) Confirmation letters will be e-mailed or mailed shortly after your registration form is recorded. Mailed and faxed registrations must be received by August 15, 2010. After that date, on-site registration will be available in Class Sales - Wednesday through Sunday, check the inside front page of your catalog for times.

6 . Registration will be handled in the Grand Ballroom Foyer on Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. moving to the Grand Coat Room from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please be sure to allow plenty of time to complete the Regional Convention registration process at the hotel prior to going to your classes. (A minimum of one hour prior to the start of your class is recommended.) During the registration process, you will receive your class tickets, information packet, any purchased raffle tickets, and any other pertinent information.   

7. All cancellations are subject to a $30.00 processing fee. All requests for refunds due to cancellation must be submitted in writing and accompanied by the class confirmation letter to the NW Toleliners, P.O. Box 464, Burley, WA. 98322-0464. Absolutely no refunds after August 1, 2010.

8 . Additional classes may be purchased on a space-available basis in Class Sales (Grand Coat Room) at the convention site. Class Sales hours are: Wednesday — 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Thursday -- 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday — 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday — 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and, Sunday — 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..

9 . All six-hour classes will have a one hour lunch/dinner break at the teacher’s discretion. There will be no scheduled classes on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for our Exhibitor Extravaganza (detailed information will be included in the Regional Convention Program Book). Classes will end at 5 p.m. on Saturday so that all attendees/ticket holders can attend the Dreamer's Delight dinner which begins at 6:30 p.m. A No-Host bar starts at 6 p.m. in the Northwest Ballroom.

Art Show / Exhibit

This is where you have the opportunity to submit and display your work and possibly win a prize. All registered attendees may enter the Art Show. The theme is open, and more than one entry per person may be submitted. Entries must have been painted in the last three years. Winners will be chosen by a ballot vote. The ballots will be at the Art Show booth. There will be prizes awarded at the Dreamer's Delight dinner for the first three categories. The categories are:

To participate, please bring your piece(s) to the Art Show booth on Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., DO NOT leave your piece unattended. You will be required to fill out one form for each piece submitted. Make sure your piece is labeled and attached before you leave. Forms will be on the table.

Chapter Booth

The Chapter Booth, located in the Grand Ballroom, will have minimal essential supplies for your painting needs. We will be selling our Regional Convention Logo totes and hand painted ornaments. Six Lazy Susan's, painted by Northwest Toleliner members will be individually raffled at the Toleliners' Chapter booth. These tickets sell for $1.00 each or 6/$5.00. Don't miss out on these fabulous items. Tickets will be drawn at the Dreamer's Delight dinner. THESE RAFFLE TICKETS ARE NOT BEING SOLD ON THE REGISTRATION FORM.

Annual Chapter Raffle

 

Raffle tickets are being pre-purchased on your registration form for this beautiful Zhostovo Rooster Fireplace Screen painted by Jean Shoemaker of the Northwest Toleliners. Tickets sell for $1.00 each or 6/$5.00. These raffle tickets can also be purchased at our Chapter Booth in the Exhibition Hall. The drawing will be held at the Dreamer's Delight dinner on Saturday night. Need not be present to win. Winner will be notified by phone and must pick up their winnings no later than 2:00 p.m. in Chapter booth.

Exhibition Hall

The Exhibition Hall will be open beginning Friday, September 24. The Exhibition Hall hours are: Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be no public admission fee to the Exhibition Hall again this year. An Exhibitor Extravaganza will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. where we will have games and prizes, in addition to the wonderful shopping opportunities. Don’t miss out on the fun! See detailed information in the Convention Program Book. No camera's or video equipment will be allowed in the Exhibition Hall.

Hotel Registration

The DoubleTree Hotel - Seattle Airport - in Seattle, Washington, is our host hotel. The cost of the rooms are $125.00 per night w/ parking at $12 per day. Public daily rate $10 per car. The reservation number for the hotel is (206) 246-8600. The hotel address is 18740 International Blvd., Seattle, Washington. Please be sure to mention the Northwest Toleliners’ Regional Convention when making your reservations to guarantee the lower rate. Attendees and Vendors, You MUST reserve your room early to guarantee the Convention rates. We have reserved the maximum room blocks allowed for those rates.

There is a NO SMOKING POLICY in all classes and within 25 ft. from any door per Washington State code.

Classroom Assistant Volunteers Needed

Monitors will not be provided for our convention again this year; however, we will be needing volunteers from each class, before the class begins, to assist in collecting the classroom tickets and take roll, hold out a pattern and surface for attendees who are late in arriving, collect the teacher pattern piece for the convention library and at the end of the class period, return the pattern to the Class Sales Office. This could be someone taking the class. No compensation will be expected by the teachers. FILL OUT THE ENCLOSED FORM AND SEND IN WITH YOUR REGISTRATION. You will be contacted as to which class we need your assistance in. Thank you for volunteering.

Dreamer's Delight Dinner

Come join us on Saturday, September 25th for the DoubleTree's fabulous Dreamer's Delight Dinner. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a no - host bar, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.. The dinner will be held in the Northwest Ballroom. Your ticket to this fun event will be included in with your registration packet and MUST be presented as you enter the banquet area. Please place your colored ticket stub in front of you on the table to make serving convenient for the waiters. We have chosen 3 specialties for you to dream about.

Your meal will begin with a Harvest Salad consisting of Tomato, Cucumber, Sunflower Seeds, Croutons and Mixed Greens served with Italian Vinaigrette dressing and rolls. Following this will be a choice of 3 items:

    a. Citrus Grilled Pacific Salmon with Honey Mustard Glace, Barley Risotto and Seasonal Vegetables.

    b. Chicken Dijonaise served with 3 grain Rice Pilaf w/lemon caper butter sauce and Seasonal Vegetables.

    c. Roasted Red Peppers and 3 Cheese Manicotti, Vegetable Confetti & Tomato Fondue (vegetarian).

        Following the entree, you will be served Lemon-Lime Mousse with Seasonal Berries.

        Coffee, decaffeinated coffee, hot and iced tea will be provided as your beverage.

Come for entertainment, prizes and fun. Awards to the Art Show and raffle winners will be announced. Classes are not offered during or after the dinner to allow for relaxation. If available, teachers, vendors and guests are welcome to attend. Tickets are $35.00 and can be purchased effective Thursday in Class Sales. YOU MUST MARK YOUR DINNER ENTREE SELECTION ON YOUR REGISTRATION FORM.

If you choose not to attend, there is no refund; however, you can inquire at Class Sales to see if anyone is interested in purchasing your ticket.

Baggage Check

A baggage check will be located directly outside the Exhibition Hall during shopping hours. This is a free service. Please check your painting supplies between classes so you can enter the trade floor; or items you have purchased (that are cumbersome to carry) while you continue to shop. Any forgotten items will be stored in the Class Sales room until the end of the convention. After the convention, all unclaimed items will become the property of the Northwest Toleliners Chapter.

Are you unable to attend your class?

The Northwest Toleliners will not be responsible for collecting the patterns & surfaces for missed classes. You, or someone you have designated, must present the class ticket in order to obtain the surface and pattern. This MUST be done prior to class or no later than 5 minutes after the conclusion of the class. NO CLASS INTERRUPTIONS, PLEASE. There will be no refunds given.

Student Requirements

Students are expected to bring good quality brushes for the medium they will be using, water or thinner container, paper towels, tracing paper, transfer paper, and palette paper, plus any specific supplies requested by the teacher (see pages 21 - 23). Odorless brush cleaner will be provided for all oil classes.
